I guess the real purpose behind this scene is to show that he's finally becoming closer to his original counterpart. A number of Castlevania fans I know really despised how his character was handled this season bc: 1) The Richter they know wouldn't be crying and breaking down like he was earlier in this show. 2) They feel he doesn’t get enough screentime due to him being the Belmont of the group. Basically what the Skywalkers are to Star Wars is what Belmonts are to Castlevania.

2025-01-28 22:21:14 +0000 UTCAs Knightlight has told you, the epic theme that plays during Richter's awakening of magic is "Divine Bloodlines ", one of the Castlevania's most iconic songs. Ever since the first Netflix show, a lot of fans have said that the adaptation should be using tracks from the games more frequently, but idk. Having them only come up during big moments adds to the punch of the scenes they feature in.
