2025-02-07 06:29:57 +0000 UTCGet ready for the absolute peak of the series in Final Shape, it was everything I ever hoped it would be. The first 3 days of the expansion launch was played as an in-game event with a doomsday clock ticking down in the menu before the launch of the ultimate raid Salvation's Edge which ended up taking the longest time for the first team to beat for any raid in the series and triggered the finale for the expansion for all players to experience. I laughed, I cried, and I loved every single second of it. I know you will too!

Also, it was great to see your genuine reactions to Cayde returning as his return was spoiled in a teaser trailer for the Final Shape back in the summer of 2023

2025-02-06 18:43:27 +0000 UTCThe Black Heart was actually the final boss of Destiny 1's original campaign back in 2014, pretty poetic that it is our final fight before going into the end of this saga. Also for how Cayde returns there was a bit of lore that was Crow talking with Mara and he says he "wished" he could reverse Cayde's fate(or something like that). After Crow leaves the room it's revealed that he was actually talking to Riven disguised as Mara and so he likely made an unintentional wish.

2025-02-06 18:35:38 +0000 UTCI’ve been waiting to see you guys react to Cayde’s appearance. Bungie actually revealed Cayde in the first trailer for The Final Shape so everyone knew he would be back. Ikora’s speech in that cutscene was apart of an update that came out in April called Into The Light. It was meant to hold players a little longer until June since the expansion got delayed. Not much for story but it brought in a tower defense mode called Onslaught and it brought back a lot of fan favorite weapons with new perks to reacquire.
