Hope we get more of him also really like Mako sure he made some dumb decisions but I love his growth and can understand that he feels as you put it in the last episode "mopey". Which I do think is the right word but even so I feel that word gets a bad rep. Its okay to feel bad <3

"She probably did." Yeah, Asami is definitely one of the best characters of the show, and I'm so glad she gets to shine this season. It kind of sucks for Kai, but...can't say it's not deserved.

2025-02-10 21:22:44 +0000 UTCGrandma’s affinity for the Earth Queen is a parallel to how royalty was seen and treated for most of China’s existence (China being the primary basis for the Earth Kingdom). Ba Sing Se is a parallel to the Forbidden City, where the emperor resides and is seen as a living deity. Grandma doesn’t like the queen because she’s aligned with any political agenda, she’s aligned with the queen *because* she is the queen and therefore it is her right to be adored by everyone beneath her. The rest of the family are much younger and don’t buy into the cultural paradigm as much. Plus, as you’ve already seen, she doesn’t exactly do much to ingratiate herself with her subjects, so that plus the modernization of the Avatar world is leading toward the people gravitating away from the old norms.
