I tend to forget how old Liyue characters are, I mean Ganyu's 3,000+ years old and most of the adeptus that we meet are older then her, and then there's Zhongli who's not only the oldest adeptus but archon as well at 6,000+ , second is Venti at around 2,600.

2025-02-25 20:09:36 +0000 UTCThat Fatui that had its day ruined. He’s supposed to be an example that not all the Fatui are cold, calculative monsters with a big goal. Some are here because they either have no choice or brought in by circumstances. It’s actually more apparent when you play the side quests that have Fatui members as the main focus. They aren’t voiced, so it’s more for the lore people that want to do them. But those Fatui really showcase just how complex the organization is than what we see on the surface.

Usually in most media, like elves, they’re either very solitary, see themselves as superior, and/or fear others will exploit them. But she’s lived in Liyue for most of her life and just wants to feel connected to others. I believe she’s still young by Adeptus standards, so it’s a classic story of a fresh adult having a mid-life crisis.
