2025-03-03 20:02:22 +0000 UTCBeth: When I was a kid I had several dinosaur toys of Apatosaurus, which I blame on Littlefoot from the Land Before Time. I also had a toy brachiosaurus, I remember it particularly well because it was bright pink and yellow (so obviously accurate representation was not a priority for those toy creators). So generally the big ones with long necks and tails were my jam! Ken: Probably triceratops.

And yes, this scene is so touching I feel like it will absolutely make me cry in the TV show given what happens to Joel. Going to be really tough to watch this season, but I agree with you on the quality of acting and so am looking forward to it.

It's already a touching moment in game, and I imagine it'll only have been made better given the quality of season 1's acting. The acting in the games is great too of course, but I just find that story centric moments like that are better suited for a TV series. Could play around with a lot of cool set design.

2025-03-03 00:21:30 +0000 UTC1:41:17 Little fact: the Velociraptors in Jurassic Park (and a lot of other media) are actually way bigger than their real world fossils. The ones in Jurassic Park scale more between the Deinonychus (the dinosaur Ellie's talking about here) and the Utahraptor. Guess people just figure that Velociraptor sounds cooler. Edit: 1:45:23 Oops, forgot the game actually acknowledged that. I had a small paleontology phase growing up. BTW, while we're on the subject, what's ya'lls favorite dinosaur?
