"...we got a closeup shot of her face with some ominous music underpinning the shot as some (not so) subtle foreshadowing that she may be important to a future conflict." ooooo, yeah, we hadn't made that connection but thanks for pointing it out!

"We couldn't wait after the season 3 finale." Valid! "Ew" "You got no shot dude." Y'all read him for filth IMMEDIATELY! "The air nation is spread thin." The air is thin? Hard to breath? There's a joke there somewhere. "Who is she?" Oh, they don't recognize Kuvira right away. "She should be...instead of prince..." Couldn't hear the entirety, but I got the gist. I can already tell I'm gonna love you reactions to this season. "Still like her?" "Damnit." At least they establish how you should feel very quickly. Also, reminder that this is Zelda Williams. So, Bataar Jr. is the Suyin child that was least focused on last season. Opal was obviously the most, then the twins, then the artist, but Jr. was with his father most of the time, offscreen, working on constructions and blueprints. It's not surprising that you're having a hard time remembering him since he was barely there last season. It is both an intelligent writing decision as well as very realistic that, after last season's villains were striving for anarchy, this season is aiming for the opposite extreme. I...don't remember is Kuvira is colluding with the bandits. I can't even try to spoil that one because I don't remember. "I'm glad that he's still around." Good news for Varrick fans... It's time for yet another round of "How Nickelodeon's executives actively screwed over Legend of Korra." After season 2 pushed the show to later and later timeslots and season 3 aired on Nicktoons Network, an expanded cable package channel, instead of Nickelodeon, Season 4 never aired on TV at all. I say never aired, but I don't know if it eventually got airtime somewhere in the past 11 years. Season 4 was released weekly, exclusively online. The only way to watch it was at Nick.com on their adobe flash player, because this was several years before streaming services really took off, so you had to deal with their crappy flash player and buffer times. It was...rough to deal with, but yeah, that was the only way to watch Season 4 when it first premiered. There is still one last way that the show was actively sabotaged, but I'll wait until we get to that moment later. Like I said last episode; while I believe season 3 has the best overall plot of the series, I believe this season has the best character writing, so I'm excited for you both to witness that as we continue.

As a comment below me has mentioned, you both have seen Bataar Jr. and Kuvira before in the prev season. Bataar Jr. was shown assisting Suyin's husband with his research and he's the eldest son. You've seen Kuvira a couple of times spread out in Season 3, she was shown upon Zaofu's introduction with the dance troupe and you've seen her as a captain when they were assisting against the Red Lotus and when she was helping Korra's dad he thanked her and introduced herself to him. Also I don't think Kuvira introduced herself as The Great Uniter, it's just what the people call her.

Voice actor fact you heard Prince Wu's voice actor, Sunil Malhotra before as Kung Lao in the recent Mortal Kombat games, and as Gilmore in The Legend of Vox Machina. Season 3 and 4 were greenlit together so both seasons were written together as you probably know

Nobody can blame you for not remembering Suyin’s oldest son, Bataar Jr., since we only saw him (and her husband, Bataar Sr.) for less than a minute in total screen time. Kuvira you saw before as well. She appeared at the same time as Suyin as part of her metal bending dance troupe in the background, then took part in defending the city and was the one in charge of searching Zaofu for Aiwei after they realized he was a mole. She appeared later as part of the strike force battling the Red Lotus atop Laghima Peak. She’s the one who saved Korea’s dad, Tonraq, from falling off the mountain. While tending to his wounds she introduced herself by name, and we got a close up shot of her face with some ominous music underpinning the shot as some (not so) subtle foreshadowing that she may be important to a future conflict.

Hell Yeah Gaming
