Pokemon lore can gets pretty dark the more you dig into it.

Vexkun

Being able to slice through dimensional barriers and go anywhere sounds like quite the ability!

Glad the three pokemon were revived because otherwise that is a dark story for Pokemon 😯

Water type was my favorite as a kid. Would usually go for the Water type starter. Froakie was my first ever Pokémon. Not much of a Pokémon guy anymore (last game I played was Pokémon Moon back in 2016), but I've always been fascinated w/ aquatic life. I once thought about becoming a marine biologist when I was younger, but that didn't pan out.

Wait wait wait. Suicune was Ice but the fiery death made it water!

Looking forward to the Psychic type Pokémon! I’m curious as to how far your knowledge of ESP goes.

So gonna put this out there. If you’re following Lockstin’s own playlist on his channel, you’re gonna watch in the wrong order and I don’t know why he never fixed it. So I’m gonna send the playlist I specifically made to help put it back on track. Because I truly think you’ll love the Dragon and Fairy types in that order last. My playlist for you two: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLhDcJRCci7AyLyIM66klfyqktlP9HOJks&si=sf-BEfD_dEwnndvQ

To add on Pyrodragon comment about Suicune. I think Lockstin missed something important to the lore of Suicune that helps with its Water typing. In the region of Johto (2nd generation of games), there was building called the “Brass Tower”. One day, a lightning strike had struck and ignited the structure. And wasn’t put out until rain came along and turned it into the “Burned Tower”. Unfortunately, 3 Pokémon were inside the tower and perished in the fire. Once the rain had put it out, the Legendary Pokémon, Ho-oh (based off a Phoenix) revived the 3 Pokémon and they became the physical representations of what happened to the tower. Raikou represents the lighting that struck the tower. Entei represents the fire that burned down the tower. And Suicune represents the rain that put it out. It’s only a theory, but it fits well with Johto that has a theming of Myths, Legends, and Traditions.

Top 3 Water Types: 1. Volcanion The one and only Fire/Water type as of right now. And it’s a Mythical Pokémon that is very hard to get. Mythical Pokémon are not obtainable naturally in the games. They have to be given to you by the game company during a limited timed event. Kinda like Genshin. Except you just need to get a special code online and you just get it instantly. And a volcano Pokémon with the power to shoot highly pressurized steam and boiling water is just freaking cool! Loved it ever since obtaining it. 2. Palkia The Pokémon god of Space. Able to slice the dimensional barriers and go anywhere. Lockstin kind of ragged on it not having good reasons for being water type, but there actually is good theory as to why it’s Water type. Being a creation of of Arceus (the creator of the universe) it was created alongside 2 other Dragons that are supposed to represent the 3 states of matter. Solids, Liquids, and Gases. Palkia then falls into the representation of Liquid because Space is like a vast ocean able to just flow through. 3. Kabutops That big brown thing with sickles for hands and is based on a Horseshoe Crab. One of the first fossil Pokémon I really fell in love with by just its design. Remember just loving when I first revived it from its fossil and state and kept it on my team throughout Pokémon Firered.

Being a Fire type Pokémon Trainer, water is naturally my biggest obstacle in the games. Which is why I make sure to have an Electric type on my team to avoid my fiery babies from being doused. Game mechanics aside though, I do like half of the designs of the Water Pokémon. Mostly the ones that are the more cool looking fish like sharks and whales. And Amphibians are closely related to reptiles and I was a big reptile fan as a kid. Favorite being the Komodo Dragon.

Oshawatt who is the sea otter is the best starter and my opinion will never change

So there's a fan theory involving Suicune, Entei, and Raikou. In the Fire video, I mentioned that when Ho-Oh (the phoenix) revived these three Pokemon from a fiery death, the Pokemon that were revived were unknown, but it's theorized that they were reborn from Vaporeon, Flareon, and Jolteon. Vaporeon being just water, may explain Suicune's mono typing of water.
