The Legend of Korra S4:E2 Full Reaction

I love the Toph reunion, near the end of ATLA, the group had a conversation of "do you really think friendships can last lifetimes?" so Toph immediately recognizes Korra & calls her "Twinkletoes"

The twinkletoes line will always not make me smile. Has to be a surreal feeling being Toph, Katara or Tenzin and saying hey to Aangs next life.

Logan Prime

Ah.... had kind of wondered if there was a connection between this episode and that one. Thank you!

Bethany and Ken

Good reminder, that does help explain the lack of concern.

About the letter correspondence timing: remember that Korra only wrote back while still at the South Pole, and that was only to Asami. So I could imagine that with her not replying, the others might've interpreted the lack of reply as her desire for space, and so refrained from sending letters. Or at least not frequently enough for it to be strange within her 6 month disappearance.

Ok, good. Bucky is safe under his blanket for this one. I can watch peacefully. I love that can't tell if Bethany recognized Bolin's letter from the voice or the over-the-top contents. Credit where it's due; this was over a decade ago and we've got realistic rehab depiction. Yes, it would be more common in a modern day cartoon, but back then? Borderline groundbreaking. One of my favorite gags; the Aang picture. Bringing back his marble trick from season 1. Can't lie, her hallucination self looks badass. "Is this taking us back to the swamp in Avatar?" Correct! This is that very same swamp. I knew you were gonna be happy with this episode. The amount I've bit my tongue every time y'all brought up Toph; it's so satisfying to see your elation now. Of course Naga was going through a lot. That's her emotional support Avatar. 6 months. I don't remember if it got glossed over in this episode, but at the end of last episode, Tonraq said she left 6 months ago. I will say, I'm glad you guys didn't get spoiled on Toph. I say this because a different reaction group I watch went through this series almost 2 years ago. If I remember correctly, they used either the Blu-ray or Paramount Plus with subtitles. I don't know if you guys watch with subtitles, but Netflix was much kinder with theirs because the version the other group watched spoiled Toph in the subtitles at her very first line. So when I saw the Netflix didn't spoil it and you guys were just showing curious faces, I was all the more excited.

Crazy old man towards the middle episode that claimed to know aang is from TLA arc where Katara pretended to be a water spirit to help people
