Took me a while to get Paramount+, so I’m late to watching your reactions lol. Zaheer really functioned as Iroh in this episode, and it’s so weird to think about, but what he said about acceptance and letting go is true. I just dealt with a recent situation that gives me as much anxiety as Korra experienced in the flashbacks, so I definitely related to her in this episode. This episode goes to show how great Zaheer was as an antagonist, and if anything reminds me a whole lot of Frieza, especially at the conclusion of Super

2025-05-05 07:46:01 +0000 UTCHonestly, Fire Lord Izumi was valid as hell for her decision. It is fun seeing multiple aspects of previous seasons maintain relevancy this episode, such as spirits and the calming of them as well as visiting Zaheer. Dunno if I ever noticed this before, but I love that the exterior shots of Zaheer's prison are just watercolor paintings. "Definitely what it looked like." Korra made spirit soup. I know I've said it before, but I genuinely love and enjoy when you two discuss deeper, realistic themes like in this or original avatar. It makes me excited for discussions for other shows further down the pipeline, but either way, just a very enjoyable time.
