Haha, can see a keyring not being a super exciting concept, at the same time, how often is a mundane object animated into a character outside of Pixar film, so branching out of more standard drivers of character creation like animals it does feel fairly creative.

Good to know! 😃

The fact that they exist is definitely exciting! They just didn't eeek out all other types to make our number one type. 🙂

Next up will be Fairy type Pokémon. Which was added back in Generation 6 on October 2013 It’s more new and was added to keep the overpowered Dragon type in check. Hopefully, the next video will be “Fairy Type Pokémon: Masters of Mysticism” because like the Dragon video before this one, the Fairy type got a similar video to help better explain it

So Dragons didn’t quite catch your fancy more than the others did, but hey, you can at least see why creation process for these Pokémon is interesting to a lot of players.

Top 3 Dragon types: 1. Mega Charizard X Generation 6 was when Mega Evolution was added. Pokémon usually only got 1 Mega Evolution, but Charizard and Mewtwo were the only Pokémon to have 2 separate Mega’s. It all depended on if you got either Pokémon X or Pokémon Y. Mega Charizard X is the most popular form since it gave him the Dragon typing many players have wanted on them since the beginning of the series in 1997. And the design is just freaking badass! 2. Ultra Necrozma Necrozma was just a weird, jagged, gemstone looking thing for outer space and had a lot of mystery to it when it first appeared. Then it finally got a story focused on it and gained one of the most awesome designs I’ve ever seen of a Dragon. It’s literally a dragon made of light and has an attack called “Light that Burns the Sky!” An epic design with a very epic move solidified this Pokémon as a fan favorite for newer generations. 3. Rayquaza & Mega Rayquaza Since I started the main games at Generation 3, Rayquaza has always stuck in my mind with how unique its design is and just how powerful it in both game and lore. Not only is he the guardian of the skies, but they’re also meant to quell the conflict between Groudon and Kyogre. Who in that order have control of the land and the seas respectively. Once both are at each other’s throats, Rayquaza comes and puts them in their place. And once they got a Mega Evolution, HOO BOY! Let’s just say Mega Rayquaza is an absolute menace both in game and lore wise. And they’re not even in the top 5 of strongest Pokémon

I can totally see Beth wanting to keep a lot of her Pokémon unevolved for the sake of keeping their cuteness. And if you wanted to a keep a certain Pokémon un-evolved and on your team for a long while, then you absolutely can! Pokémon games are never too hard that you can’t play a certain way. Every player always encourages others to play how they want to the first time. There are downsides to keeping an un-evolved Pokémon such as lower stats. But that just means you gotta strategize around it if you’re set on keeping them.

Dragon is one of the most powerful types in Pokémon and is a favorite for a lot of players that are just starting the game. I know I said that Dragon types take a bit longer to raise than other Pokémon, but it’s just a matter of knowing what types are weak to what, and knowing the right moves to take down opponents stronger than you. So like say you have a Level 5 dragon Pokémon and are facing off against a Level 15 opponent. As long as you strategize well, you can beat that higher leveled opponent and gain a lot of XP you would get from fighting a bunch of small opponents. As it has been stated before, Pokémon is very much “Baby’s first RPG” for a reason. Because over the years, they have mainstreamed the ways you can raise your Pokémon in a variety of different ways. But we’ll see what your team will look like when you two actually get to a Pokémon game.

35:30 "That is creative and inventive and so unique" is the polar opposite of how I hear people describe Pokémon like Klefki (the key ring) lol. Maybe it's because I'm not very in the touch with the Pokémon community, but I swear when Pokémon like Klefki and Vanillish were revealed, the only sentiment I ever heard was that their designs were mundane, idiotic, and that GameFreak was running out of ideas.

Rayquaza had always been my favorite Dragon Pokemon ever since 10 year old me experienced its pure majesty from that one cutscene in Emerald version. Then to experience its whole post game Delta Episode quest line and Mega Evolution 10 years later as a 20 year old playing Omega Ruby, just made me love it even more. And don't get me started on its black shiny, so peak.
