2025-08-10 16:49:06 +0000 UTCGarrus and Tali are definitely my favorite companions in the series, absolutely love them! A few other tips as well. For the Mako, the vehicle you drive, there are 2 firing options, the gun and a rocket. One is R1 and the other R2, if I recall. When using your own guns, tapping the weapon button only switches to the last used gun, not all of them, hence why it kept switching to the sniper rifle when you were already using the sniper rifle because you hadn't used any other gun yet that mission. You also can't switch while Shepard is in the middle of the animation, hence why the option was blocked at one point. Holding the button down to access the full weapon wheel is needed to access your full arsenal. As for missions, unfortunately, there's no way to focus on any mission, the game expects you to either remember the details or read the journal. Missions are your main story stuff, assignments are your side quests. You can also miss out on some of these, like the journalist. The item needed for her quest was on the floor in the center of Fist's room and I believe you can't go back once you leave his room. On some abilities, I believe that since your team ability use option is defensive, they only use defensive abilities, such as shield boost, barrier, ect. The other abilities need to be activated manually by you. I'd personally recommend switching that option to full use so your allies do use all their abilities without your direct input. I also suggest always having at least 1 tech person on the squad with both Decrypt and Electronics abilities as those are what allow you to open optional chests and objects.

2025-08-08 16:10:34 +0000 UTCOk so a good start, really loving the different perspective of seeing you guys playing through this so far, a few tips to keep in mind: 1# as a soldier you got a lot of guns, when one overheats you should switch to another right away if you REALLY don't need that one weapon in the specific situation. 2# after you have completed one of the big missions (like the one you just did to get liara) there are a ton of sidequests that open up in the galaxy among the other unspecified clusters (the ones that are not for the main missions) use them to get better at fighting and to level up (trust me, you are gonna need to be ready for anything). 3# speak often to the crew (after each big story mission) for commentary and get a feel for where their thoughts are at, joker in particular has great commentary. 2025-08-07 19:53:41 +0000 UTCSome gameplay tips: The Soldier class is a very beginner friendly class, although it’s a bit plain compared to the other biotic classes. You’ll eventually have enough points to equip Heavy Armor for extra tankiness. You should put points into Assault Training to get the Adrenaline Burst skill and Fitness to get the Immunity skill. Make sure you put points into Spectre Training to get the Unity skill to revive your teammates. You should also bring squadmates to cover the Soldier class weaknesses. Tali and Garris can provide tech skills. Kaiden and Liara can provide biotic skills.

With the codex it will give you alot more information but all the interactions you do with the characters through investigations will give less amount of lore but the same lore as the codex, you will get more side stuff like nerd stuff with the codex to
