First however, I just want to remind everyone that you can now send me prompts for next week's poll! I currently already have THREE Guaranteed Prompts for Monday's poll, and two suggestions, so at this point I'm only accepting guaranteed prompts!
As usual, if I get five guaranteed prompts before Sunday night, I will post the Prompt Poll early! So if you're entitled to a guaranteed prompt, toss it my way ASAP!

5. The Rising of the Shield Hero - Naofumi/Queen Mirellia - The Shield Hero can scarcely believe it. In fact, he doesn't want to believe it, not at first. But it seems a little bit farfetched, the idea that they'd go so far just to betray him and ruin his life again. The public humiliation and denouncement of the Princess who falsely accused him of rape and the King that enabled her goes a long way towards making Naofumi trust again... but Queen Mirellia Q Melromarc has more in mind to give the Shield Hero what he truly deserves, if it'll help to regain his trust. The thing I like is that after the trial, Naofumi became cynical. Even though he lightens up later on, he never returns to being a naive idiot like many other isekai protagonists. But at the same time he's not one of those edgy isekai protagonists either, he's a dude who does his best to help other people without being an idiot. Also, the anime has been airing recently with the first season finishing soon, and the internet consensus is that the Queen is a pretty hot milf.

2019-06-14 19:41:50 +0000 UTCIts probably because it subverts a lot of tropes that are becoming painfully common in Isekai. For one the hero isn't this universally beloved hero just because he was summoned, nothing is really outright given to him, and the game system sometimes feels irrelevant, where as in others its almost always present or referenced and a central part of whats going on.
