Equipment List Update!

Hi guys,

Just a quick update, I'm working on making the equipment list more organised, smoother to navigate and generally better. Hopefully this will lead to a better experience for you guys, but especially for new people who might get overwhelmed!

I also plan to add a 'getting started' section with lists of stuff people would want for certain projects (stone tiles, grassland, etc) - but that's not quite done yet!

EDIT: Also, fair warning, so far this is just me reorganising/fiddling to get the site layout cleaner before handing the redesign over to someone who actually knows what they're doing 😂

If any of you could let me know how it feels, if there's anything annoying about it or if any particular section gives you trouble, I'd appreciate it :)

Equipment List Update!

Double stacked magnets don't increase without diminishing returns :) if you do this, I'd advise a single 4x2 (not quite as strong) or even 4x4 magnet, I talk about this in the upcoming video! Also weight can be an issue on upper floors, but I'm seeing it as less and less of an issue, especially without chipboard anymore

Matt, is there a particular reason we can't simply stack two N35 3x2mm magnets for a 3x4mm arrangement in most of the tiles? N35 magnets are very cheap at ali (~1.5 cent a piece, or 1000 for about 15 euros). That's ~3 cents for the same holding strength of an N52 for about 1/10th of the price, be it a little less space efficient. "But what's 2mm deeper on the scale of a tile?", I'm thinking. And if you do not have the depth in a certain situation, probably you won't need the holding strength either. Am I overlooking something in my reasoning here?

Glad I could help!

I've been battling bad glue guns until this very moment. Thank you.
