The Painting is Over. The Time of Weathering, is Come...

Just a nice visual update so you can see how things are progressing - the painting stage is now totally complete, so I thought I'd throw together some quick massive builds to show off the pieces π
The next step is interesting, and one I didn't do on the originals, but I've fallen in love with since. Essentially, I'll be doing a similar thing with these as I did with the city tile pavements, dusting dirt into the cracks, sealing and wiping...
I'm saving showing off the difference it makes, because honestly I love how the paintjob came out and it looks awesome in its own right, which is insane when you see how much better it looks with the weathering! I wanted it to have its own moment π
I'll be uploading a comparison with the weathering very soon, likely tomorrow.
In the meantime, MMF invites for this month's thank you' STL packages, and the collab STLs have gone out, so enjoy those! I'm currently working on test printing the cages for next month 'in the background' so to speak, as well as the other pieces coming next month....which will be the first 3d printable versions of a full build from a video! Albeit a small one π
The really cool thing with the cages is they're multipart, so not only are they easier to get off the supports, they can also me assembled modularly, and extended to be as wide and deep as you like to make larger pens for animals or prisoners!

2022-10-04 17:09:21 +0000 UTCI'm going to be testing it, but almost certainly at this point. I'll probably make a set of 'clean tiles' for palaces etc, but the vast majority of places look better with dirt I think...
