Quick update - Things are going well! Mostly ๐Ÿ˜…

Hi Guys,

So I've been holding off on a big photo update until I had the bricks ready for a more impressive shot - unfortunately that section keeps being held back by experiments not panning out! Not time consuming in itself, but has meant I've been working a lot on planning, finalising everything I can except the brickwork, etc..

It hasn't helped that I seem to be getting 1-2 'bad days' a week now, presumably in exchange for me now being able to walk up a small hill without getting out of breath (success!)

Not great, but luckily (depending on how you look at it) these have fallen on the weekend as often as midweek, so It hasn't been as bad as it sounds. plus as time has gone on, these have been 'can work on low energy things, just not high focus things' kinda days. Hence me making this post, but not building a bunch of test setups to photo/edit to go alongside it....yet!

The build IS going well though! Everything seems to be working and I'm very excited by where it's heading visually - if you want a preview I recently posted a bunch of (easier) phone camera pics on WIP wednesday over on Discord...

The STLs are also going well, albeit slowly - there's been a lot of experimentation perfecting the wall stamp, and we're JUST about there. There are a few more tweaks I want to make, but that's more in the name of perfectionism. It'll do the bricks just fine, I just want it to do texture, cracks and indenting all at the same time too ๐Ÿ˜‚

On that note, I've had Fabio working on a printable version of the standard stone walls of the system (and window variants), similar to the printable stairblocks. UN-fortunately, he's now temporarily ill with a 38 degree (C) fever, and I've told him to get rest. He should be back by tomorrow or Wednesday, but this month's release will probably end up being actually dropped in your MMF next month instead - but it WILL be worth it! Probably one of the most valuable/useful packs so far.

I've spent today where I've had energy setting away the test print for the wall, and sketching some new ideas for pipework in the sewers! I'll be showing how to make them with both 3d printable and craftable methods, though obviously one will be a lot faster and more detailed than the other.

My concept for these is 'handmade, medieval fantasy' - NOT the more common 'industrial, machine tooled, smooth, modern' look, and I am so excited with the results! beaten copper, huge pipes that look handmade, bent, scratched and dinted, full of details and theme, and perfect for easy weathering.

Honestly aside from sewers, they're perfect for any kind of alchemy or magic facility, or even dungeons as the grates will (in theory) work just placed on stone floors as steam, fire or poison vents/traps! Set those to go off at a random initiative step and you have a much more interesting combat ๐Ÿ˜

That's about all my brain can handle for now - but thank you all so much for your support while I battle through this. It means everything to me. I'm an anxious person at times, and having this stable income while I work as much as I can while recovering has massively helped the recovery itself, I just know it.

You are all so special to me, and I will always be working hard to arrange what rewards I can for your help. You deserve it.

Matt
