What's In Progress
Added 2025-02-17 04:55:14 +0000 UTCvamX VIP
A huge new build with twice the number of animated prop poses as a regular release. Please be patient, as it's a larger release than normal, but very unique!
Additional Toy Integration
We are working on the side to integrate additional toys and toy responses.
vamX AI Chat
Additional fast main server to balance load and increase reliability.
Improved, separate, always-on voice recognition app (Deepgram App) will allow you to use an ending keyword (e.g. That's just how I like it, Jenny). This lets you talk without holding buttons down, but still immediately send what you want to say without no delay (AI doesn't need to wait to make sure you've finished speaking).
Improved integration into any scene (such as Hub downloaded scenes), allowing you to set up the AI Chat to trigger buttons in the scene based on the chat. For example if the scene had a button "Switch to missionary" then missionary pose can be triggered if you chat about Missionary position.
More secret yet-to-be-announced new features are almost ready ;)
Comments
Gotcha, let me know if I can run anything to help.

2025-03-07 15:41:57 +0000 UTCWithin a couple of days there will be a new fast global server. So you should have more options. The servers should auto-restart, and "down" is very subjective, and can mean things like "audio doesn't work" or the llm doesn't respond, or the server really doesn't work. We often rely on user reports if someone is trying something and it doesn't work (I spend my time adding new features, not using the AI much, and when I use the AI it's on a development server). I do a brief test every day, once a day, to make sure the server isn't down. If it were down it would be fixed before I could notify anyone it wasn't working.

2025-03-06 12:51:12 +0000 UTCUS servers were down again yesterday. Haven't checked today VamX. Is there somewhere we can see when there is downtime?

2025-03-05 21:13:07 +0000 UTCI believe you aren't familiar with virt a mate. vamx is sold as a plugin to virt a mate (https://patreon.com/MeshedVR) so if you don't have that you need it, otherwise of course none of this makes sense
vamX
2025-03-05 15:40:28 +0000 UTCIf you're looking for your AI it's in the membership tab. If you are looking for the virt a mate creator key, it's sold by patreon.com/MeshedVR not here, this is vamx

2025-03-05 08:41:45 +0000 UTCWell at first it seemed to. I just loaded the default AI scene, then went through the steps you listed. I was able to move toward her and away from her and side to side but then when I rotated the camera started going upward again. The only way I can seem to get it to come back down is if I hold the inside triggers, not the main triggers you use with your index but the ones you use with your middle finger.

2025-02-22 05:38:23 +0000 UTCas iv been reinstalling iv noticed that the tiny UI is actually the VaM ui that is so small. the actual VaMX ui is the much larger piece that comes up when i click on a button in the VaM ui. Sorry to have confused them.

2025-02-22 05:30:53 +0000 UTCIn vamX 1.44 you can go to Virt-a-Mate Main UI -> Edit mode -> pointer tool to select an atom -> __vamX Plugin -> Plugins tab -> _CHOOSE_VAMX_FEATURES -> Open Custom UI... -> Uncheck _vxBool_Can_Set_Camera (10 down on the right side). Do this as soon as the vamX scene opens, before doing any camera stuff. This should also be remembered so you don't need to do this each time. This disables vamX's automatically moving the camera into good positions for various poses (which might have caused changes in axes of some internal camera component). Please let me know if this solves your issue!

2025-02-22 04:32:57 +0000 UTCThe UI that is tiny is probably the main Virt-a-Mate UI. When you open Virt-a-Mate you should see 4 large vertical panels. If you see less you don't have vamX installed and need to download and put things in again carefully following the numbered steps. Once you do have vamX, you will see in the bottom right (in desktop mode) a UI that has 7 large picture buttons, and many tabs up top like Scene, Light, Pose, etc. Click the Scene -> bottom HELP button and run the tutorial. To make a scene in vamX you can click Scene, change the background, click Pose change the pose, click Male, add a male, etc. I'm thinking maybe you are trying to use the normal Virt-a-Mate menu system, which is hard, and there are a lot of YouTube tutorials on it, but that's also why vamX exists.

2025-02-22 04:29:51 +0000 UTCsorry iv had some problems to work out with my laptop so iv been reinstalling and tweaking ill have more for u soon and i appreciate your response. it doesnt even seem easy to install VamX for me. perhaps an install video would be helpful here showing where to install everything and the setup of the UI which is so tiny when i start seems microscopic to my old eyes ....and perhaps a creation video where you create an interesting scene where we could be a fly on the wall watching the process ? I know due to the nature of this work with the nudity etc it isnt something for youtube but i see potential im just not sure how to approach it seriously or if im thinking there is more to it than there actually is ? hope you all have a great weekend

2025-02-22 03:11:08 +0000 UTCHave you figured out the movement glitch with Meta Quest 3? It either goes up or down but won't go side to side, or front to back. or even rotate. just goes straight up or straight down whenever you use AI.

2025-02-22 02:24:39 +0000 UTCTell me more about what you mean. The vamX UI is moveable. Run the vamX Scene -> HELP -> Main Tutorial to learn more. To put a person in an environment, open the scene -> Add vamX -> then use the Scene -> Custom tools along with the Pose area to put people in place.

2025-02-19 03:20:38 +0000 UTCNew member here... That sounds great...how about a larger and movable ui at startup--and perhaps easier scrolling and avatar placement in environments please ?
