A Polaroid image of Nettie Harris. Made in 2010, by windowlight (as usual) with a Polaroid Spectra camera and original Spectra film. We accumulated quite a lot of this film before it was no longer available. It produced truly beautiful images. Sadly, as it became more and more out of date, the images produced no longer have a 'sparkle', they are muddy and lack contrast, which is why recently we have been using more of the Impossible Project film for Spectra. The IP film does not really compare very well to Spectra in its prime. The good news is, past images made with Spectra endure. We have some from at least the 80's which look as good now as the day they were made, so the deterioration affects the unexposed film, but not the finished prints.
