A portrait of Jane from 2014 in our beloved Magic Window that is no longer magic.
When we moved into our studio in Woodstock many years ago, the prior tenant had been a glassblower. She had a giant kiln, and they had to remove this window to get the kiln out of the building. It is double pane insulated glass, and one of the panes was cracked during the move. The window fogged up inside, creating the most dreamy photo backdrop - our good fortune for a few years. Sadly, the crack became so bad it was deemed hazardous and the entire window had to be replaced. Of course, new glass is not so magical. But now you know the secret of the Magic Window!
