Monique - First Shoot Ever

In keeping with the Polaroid theme, here is a Spectra Polaroid from our very first shoot with Monique, back in 2013 in our barn studio. I think we can all agree, Polaroid or not, this is beautiful.

Yes, it still does. Some very interesting effects can be created digitally, to be sure. However, there is a possibility for serendipitous beauty to happen unexpectedly with Polaroid. It's the unexpected that makes it exciting. Of course, it can also unexpectedly disappoint, but that's part of the charm. Also, I am very taken by the fact that each Polaroid image is truly unique. They are like precious gems, no two are alike. It makes them seem extra special to me. I would certainly be interested in hearing further thoughts from you, and anyone else that would like to contribute. Thanks for asking, Greg!

2020-03-05 14:49:17 +0000 UTCI saw a Polaroid exhibit in Dallas. There were even large format Polaroids at one time. It was a cool exhibit. With digital and preset filters, does Polaroid do anything for you now?
