We have an update on the i.d. of this plant if anyone is interested. A horticulturist friend has identified it as Aconitum carmichaelii - Monk's Hood.

2020-04-09 11:42:07 +0000 UTCI really can’t tell. They look like delphinium leaves but are too large, it could be a dahlia stalk, dinner plate dahlias would have a stalk like that. .....A quote from my friend.
