I wouldn’t say I’m in a ‘new zone’ necessarily. I’ve always enjoyed working in color, even back in the film days, but the public presentation of our work has mostly been in black & white, in a nod to our traditional darkroom photography roots. It also was a way to stand out from the crowd a bit; because the ‘crowd’ is mostly shooting in color these days. Since beginning our Patreon five or six years ago, we’ve been posting more and more color, because our Patrons seem to enjoy it, and it’s fun for me to shoot with that in mind. In the past, even when shooting digital, I had more or less ‘trained’ myself to see in monochrome, since that is how we typically presented the work. Times, they are a changin’, but I’ll continue to post work both ways. I’m glad you enjoyed these images. They were actually made about 7 years ago.
