You might be missing something, but a famous photographer (I can’t remember who) once said “It’s not what you miss that counts, it’s what you get.” I definitely still shoot Polaroids. Sometimes actual Polaroid in both 8x10 format and small format instant film. (Although small format Polaroid is not standing the test of time. After being expired several years, it yields disappointing results. However, developed small format Polaroid is stable and lasts for decades, at least. I have Polaroids that I made in the 60s that still look like I shot it today.) I also shoot Instax these days, which is a very dependable film, easy to obtain, and close enough, in my estimation, to the real deal. There is an unpredictable aspect to Polaroid that keeps it interesting. Sometimes the results are very surprising and delightful. Sometimes not. Also, I just love holding the little prints in my hand and looking at them. Each one is unique, like a little jewel. They feel precious to me. I have made thousands of images on Polaroid or other instant film over the years, and I have a hard time parting with them because they feel so precious. So I suppose it’s in the eye (and hand) of the beholder. If you don’t get it, it’s ok. Doesn’t hurt my feelings. But I’ll keep sharing them because I like them. Thanks for your question!

I am curious, I understand the allure of Polaroids before the day of digit with its instant results....do you still do Poloroids? Is there something about Polaroids that I am missing?
