Can't wait for 3x16. And we're one step away from moment when AT moves from category 'Excellent shows' to something on really God Tier level.

Great commentary as always. Can't wait for your reaction of episode 5 and onwards.

Yeah I really love how they used those quirks to humanize and make Zeke more relatable.
He is a big scary war chief but also seems to be kind of an oddball klutz apparently? Sort of like Hange lol.

Once again, not surprised but really love your view with the Warriors. Where a lot tv shows and movies give us one-dimensional antogonists, we get such a grey situation with Reiner and co. and it’s such a shame that there are some who fall into the “they’re bad guys, I hate them” mentality. Also, nice catch with Zeke’s ear scratching thing. I also thought it was kinda weird how he scratched his ear with the opposite hand.

I really like that while Jean is trying to pull Connie/Sasha together, you can clearly his voice crack. He's trying, but he's right there with them. Another thing I really love in this episode/arc in general is the bond between Armin and Mikasa. Just a pure friendship, in which both just support each other.
And finally I love the Zeke that we get here, his Beast is quite menacing, but he as a person, not as much. I love his quirk of scratching his ear with the opposite hand, which we saw first in S2E1, and how he burns his tongue on the coffee. It's the small things.

The voice actor titans get killed by Levi when he does his Levi thing at the end of Perfect Game (Armin) and during Hero (Eren and Mikasa).

This wait for Perfect Game and beyond is gonna be brutal, that's the main feeling I gathered after watching this discussion.

Amazing reaction. One of the fun things that the author does is drawing some titans that represent humans. for example, in this episode, the titan that ate Marco is representing the director of the show Araki, Tetsurou. I believe he made titans for the voice actors of the main characters as well.

Tbh I never really got the impression that Annie was even friends with Bertholdt and Reiner (the scene with Marco this episode showed how she really doesn’t get along with Reiner especially). They were all Warriors for sure, but Annie never really hung out with the other two like that when she was around. That’s why the other characters didn’t suspect Reiner and Bertholdt until much later. Idk I just think it’s interesting that they’re fighting on the same side and yet don’t really seem to be very close, unlike the Levi Squad for example.

Good to see some compassion for Bert. Reiner, Annie and Bert are some of my favorite characters in the show/manga. The warrior crew are basically a bunch of kids who have spent a good chunk of their life behind enemy lines and the way they react to that stress and develop as individuals is masterfully handled by Isayama. They are some of the well developed characters I have seen in a work of fiction.

You are legitimately the first reactor I've watched that's remembered that Bert was top 3 in their class. Everyone else seems to have forgotten this and always freak out about how Bert is able to keep up with Mikasa. That's even more impressive considering how long it's been since you watched S1. Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the rest of the series! :)
