You can be not in the wrong but still have personal opinions on whether you the audience believes an action was immoral or not. As Armin says, a good person is relative to whether that person can be good to you. We shouldn’t all have the same value judgments on every character or every action or else the show will morph into a very bland documentary of x happened, then y, then z and the end. We can still appreciate Kenny the character while judging him as a scumbag, or a survivor, or a psychopath, for example.

I think Willy was amused by Magath because he wasn't afraid to speak his mind KNOWING Willy is pulling the strings of Marley. We can see how the Tybur family is held in such a high regard, you know Willy had to deal with a lot of boot lickers. He sees Magath as an equal

Great review, I enjoyed your attention to detail on the interactions between Magath/Willy and Eren/Grandfather Yaeger. One thing I notice you've been tip-toeing around is your thoughts on what exactly Eren is planning to do in LIberio at the Fair. You've mentioned that all the roads are leading here and that Eren seems to be in contact with Zeke but you haven't made any guesses as to what their plan is - nor how you personally feel about their potential plan. One of the biggest themes in attack on titan is defining what is good and evil - or as Erwin put it "Who is the real enemy?" I think the show begs for the audience to make moral judgments throughout the show on who is right and who is wrong. Was Reiner wrong (in your opinion) when he led the first attack on Shiganshina? Is Eren wrong for using Falco to coordinate between himself and potentially the Scouts? I noticed in the past you did try to make judgments about Bertolt and Reiner (believing them to not be evil) but you've shied away from it this season.

Just remember that Eren has 2 best friends named Mikasa and Armin :) Edit: After getting 3 commentsI have noticed 2 things: 1) putting a smiley face and the word "remember" triggers people for some reason. 2) people will think you are spoiling anything even the fact that Armin and Mikasa are Eren's best friends since season 1. Having said that keep hating on me for putting a 😊

The track you were talking about when Eren and Reiner meet at the end is called YouSeeBIGGIRL/T:T (creative Sawano titles at play again). It plays in moments like 2x6 of course, the season 2 finale when Eren punches the Smiling Titan and a rearrangement of it also plays when Ymir hops off the tower at Utgard Castle in the middle of 2x5. I remember the chills you had at that part a couple of years ago. It's based off of Sawano's track from season 1, Vogel Im Kafig, which plays when the Smiling Titan eats Carla at the end of the first episode, Eren's in the Santa Titan's stomach in 1x9, when Annie is killing the Levi Squad one by one and has Eren transforming in 1x21 and a few other moments. I don't know which one I'd pick, but one of the versions honestly has to rank as one of the best tracks I've ever heard in my life (I'll cheat and clump all the versions together).

I’m so glad you have so much love for the Warriors. I’ve had a lot of fun watching reactors all have different takes and connections with the Warriors considering all our experiences with the scouts over the past few seasons, and they’re all valid takes, both the positive & negative views on them But I’m a huge fan of the Warriors (especially with Reiner being my favorite in the show) and it’s nice to see that all these new characters really stuck with a lot of first time watchers after just a few episodes of really getting to know them.

Willy and Magath's conversations are so fun to watch, two amazing characters and I love the OST they used when they were on the balcony. I also love the shot from under the table as Reiner is talking about where to potentially attack Paradis from. It reminds me of Breaking Bad, they loved doing shots like these. And everything about the festival is just heartwarming. I love how in awe Gabi is, when she wakes up and then Reiner paying for all their food. He looks so tired, but that little smile made it all worth it.

Fuckin' hell, as usual, nothing gets past you and you pick up things that 99+% people see past. I read the chapter corresponding to this episode back when it came out a little over 3 years back, and have read it and watched this episode multiple times since. I came nowhere close to the kind of analysis on Lord Tybur and Magath that you got into.
