I use to think it was for the best, now seeing how things are playing out. I had a idealistic thought that if he had survived, he wouldnt be the same having achieved his dream. It made dealing with his death easier. Maybe it wasnt for the best, as no one knows. Ims thoughts on it helped me reel back into reality as well, its commander smith. Dreams achieved or not achieved hes one risk taking outside of box thinking badass. I dont think with him at the helm still, the armies would be so divided. People would follow him if he went along erens plan. Maybe eren would be more willing to confide in him perhaps.

I always feel like I'm missing something when people are openly supporting the Jeagerists. Even in the manga they always read as slightly deranged and unjustified in their drastic actions. It always read as if we were supposed to oppose them. Like Isayama build in this particular social commentary and critique on fanatics like that. Yet I understand why they are doing what they are doing. Just don't agree with it. It's realistic stuff.

I agree with you, I too find it very difficult to support the Jaegarists given the tactics they are using... I don’t think I can support the ends justify the means approach

As always, translators taking strange liberties. This time I wanna point out just Yelena, and just two instances. (Many more places have been altered, as usual) Yelena talking to Pixis about the Jaeger brothers. She said not that "him being able to do all that proves he has the Founding Titan," but "And the fact that the man of such caliber possesses the Founding Titan." Also when she spilled her true intentions, there was a slight change in nuances. She did not say "and I want to witness it from their side," she said "and I want to witness it by their side". I think there's quite a difference there.

Love Pixis in this episode, his leadership and wisdom are much needed in these turbulent times. He's always been the most levelheaded person in the military and I'm so happy that his character still comes into play. The fact that Armin and Mikasa are always there for each other warms my heart. Might be my favorite friendship in the series.

I'm pretty sure there was something about this episode and the last episode's title being accidentally switched cause of a mixup at the studio. Based on how the manga chapters were ordered with Guides coming first. Last episode was supposed to be "Guides" with the idea of Mikasa guiding Louise, Sasha guiding Kaya, Kaya guiding Gabi/Falco to the stables and through her old village etc. This episode was supposed to be called "Deceiver" with not knowing if Zeke is telling Paradis the truth, if Yelena is telling Pixis the truth, if Onyankopon is telling Hange the truth, if Eren is telling anyone the truth. Basically people all wondering who they can trust.

I had tickets to an AoT live concert in Germany in March 2020 that got cancelled by COVID. I hope they put it on again and I get to go. I will definitely be crying buckets.

There has definitely been a split both in manga readers and now the anime viewers on the Jaegerists. I think it’s important to understand how they are “created” since it’s a huge theme of the story now and relates VERY heavily to some recent developments in our own society if you choose to take that interpretation. I understand why they felt against the ropes & needing to act but I also can’t support them either. Some people REALLY agree with the Jaegerists. Fascinating stuff

Great as always! My favorite reactor :) Since you love the score so much, I think you'd really enjoy Hiroyuki Sawano's "Attack on Titan Suite". Check it out on YouTube... it's absolutely amazing! There aren't any spoilers in it (unless you check out the comments). I also hope someday, when things are normal, that there will be a live concert.. it really would be incredible!
