Early Access - Vinland Saga | Reaction & Review 1x20 "Crown"

By what I see from Vinland Saga's manga artist and the anime's director twitter, they sound like they're taking their time to give vinland saga's season 2 the justice it deserves, honestly if they make it as good, doesn't need to be better, as season 1 I would honestly take it, if it's better that's a bonus because the story will carry it regardless.

Man, this final stretch is gonna be a doozy. I can't wait. For more political anime, I'd like to recommend Heike Monogatari. 11 episodes, amazingly directed and visually stunning classic literature adaptation with an absolutely insane soundtrack. Without contest the anime of last year for me personally.

I wish there were more people praising this story as much as you do. Maybe we would have S2 much earlier, I'm still scared of the fact it would not make it at all. The next arc is fascinating, I'm thrilled of thinking that be animated and you to review it. MAPPA really be the kings here, I hope they can make it, and give justice to all of these anticipated titles from them: AoT Finale, Chainsaw Man, Vinland S2, Jujutsu S2

so Thorfinn's father wanted to reach that Vinland [Paradise], Canute wants to create Paradise. And both of these scenarios exclude the involment of deity for their existence. Should be interesting going forward, i hope Thors impact on the story is not over.

Would very very highly recommend you get into Kingdom (manga or anime) if you're looking for a historical and more importantly a political story... I personally would love to see your reaction to it, but its 100% worth getting into even if you decide to get into it in your own time rather than doing it for the channel The anime visuals are very bad in the first Season of the anime (which is why most people recommend the manga), but it gets MUCH better later on because the studio changed and upgraded the visuals and directing (they even brought in Hiroyuki Sawano and Yamamoto Kohta to compose new amazing OSTs). Also it is based on ancient China, so I doubt you would know enough about the history aspect of it to get yourself spoiled... Not to mention the politics in it can sometimes be even more complex than Vinland Saga... Just to give a little more context, Vinland is rated as #10 in best manga on MAL, while Kingdom is rated #11 even though the manga has no official English translation (the anime however is officially translated and available on crunchyroll)

Love the connection between the frame of Thors and Askeladd. Oh and hearing you talk about how Thorfinn can learn a lot from Askeladd is pretty funny especially with the parallels with Thors and Askeladd because I consider Thors, Askeladd (+ Leif but not specifically for this moment) to be Thorfinn’s 3 dads lol. He can learn so many different things from all of them.
