2022-07-30 08:56:02 +0000 UTCConcerning the coding of Edward's alchemy notes, there was some information in a separate Guide Book that I don't think is ever revealed in the manga or anime. It's a minor detail so I don't think it spoils anything but I'll leave some space just in case. Edward codes his own alchemy research notes in the guise of a travelogue, as they are traveling all the time. They are so well coded that not even Alphonse can decipher them. Additionally, Roy Mustang codes his research with names of women and dates, making them look like a record of his romantic adventures.

I feel like that could save alot of time in the long run since the whole show would take over a year to fully cover at a 1 ep per week schedule
