Monthly Checkup #24: Updates and Upgrades

Things are a bit hectic lately. Not only did I have to go to two dental appointments in September, I still have a root canal I'm waiting for my insurance to approve, then a THIRD dental appointment will occur. Very likely this month, in October.
I'm upgrading my PC! Finally! It's something I've been needing to do. It's quite clear that getting PCs with the AMD RX 6600 XT graphics card was a mistake because that GPU released likely during the end of the last hardware/graphics generation. I'm upgrading to the AMD RX 6700 10GB for my 600 watt PSU setup. The two more gigabytes of video memory, up from 8GB on the RX 6600 XT, might make all the difference and get me ready for the next gen of 1080p gaming. The memory speed is also much faster. The clock speed is lower, but still a whopping 2495Hz when under load. The game clock of the RX 6600 XT is much higher overall, but it didn't help in problem games like Starfield.
I'll definitely need more commissions to work on, and heck maybe I'll do another weight gain drive, to cover the cost of this upgrade. Luckily, the price was only $284.00 plus tax. Definitely a great price for a damn solid GPU.
Actually, that's all I have to say. Let's all just enjoy this spooky month, and hopefully I'll get into the Halloween spirit more and more as the month rolls on! Fat related pun intended?
