It's time! Going to be watching the full reactions from the beginning and starting over. I've only watched the full length for Episodes 7-10, and nothing beyond that, so it'll be good to get up to date and start thinking about this wonderful series again recontextualized through your brilliantly analytical perspective. // Edit: Also I didn't even see that the caption for this is also "It's time". How promising of great synergy

I don't know who told you what, but the 4 new movies are NOT a remake or retelling. Saying more would spoil it all, but let me say that it is very much connected to the show and EoE. Skipping them is IMO like stopping the Return of the King right after the battle of Gondor is over. You miss the entire point. For the longest it wasn't like this, but now that the movies are complete, it is absolutely mandatory to finish the movies after watching the show. It is the "true" ending to the franchise we waited for over 20 years. I hope you will have a change of heart.

As someone who has not watched Evangelion besides memes and the occasional clip here and there, there's a lot that is implied and suggested connections from watching the opening. I don't know if that's just me, sometimes a hint can be enough of a spoiler. I'm fine with whatever Im decides to do, as long as he's listening to this banger opening.

It's not like one of those anime either where it has this one OP people get in a notable uproar about, so I'm curious who he was told by to not look at it. Either way it'll be interesting -- seeing him dissect the OP or his first impression being from what happens in the show -- but it was a very surprising one to me since AFAIK this isn't considered a spoilery opening at all

2023-02-15 06:35:52 +0000 UTCI feel like the intro is iconic, and not just the song. I'm someone who thinks spoilers in the intro can be unnecessary, but sometimes people are ridiculous about their standards. Are you not going to be able to watch it until you finish the show or something?

Such a captivating and iconic style - what is more distinctly 90s Japanese anime than a Gundam series? Super hooked already, looking forward to next week 👏 edit, anyone know if "Gundam" is an applicable word to describe this type of anime as a category? I always thought it meant big robot anime, not realizing it referred to the actual series Mobile Suit Gundam.
