I love your appreciation of the backgrounds in this show as always. Good backgrounds are so under utilized in anime nowadays and a big part of that is people didn't appreciate them when they were incredible like this. Also smart of you noticing eva 00 punching through the wall to make the hand from the earlier episode, I didn't realize that when I watched it so you taught me something new. I love the themes and cinematography in this show and I'm excited to see your reaction to the rest of it.

I hope you check out the first 4 episodes' endings too, every single episode has a unique rendition of the song, sometimes very clearly corresponding (sometimes even juxtaposing) to the episode's content. It's just one of the many genius moves this show pulls off, that's why so many EVA fans are still upset about its omission from the newer releases. It's part of the series' DNA.
