The nods to Alien/The Thing, exploring Clara's grief and mental state post-s8, as well as 12's character progression since Death in Heaven, all making for one of the best specials the show has to offer. Also, well, the absolute gorgeous technical work making the episode look as good as it does and the sharp, tight writing. This reaction made me so giddy rewatching it, feels like this is a DW reaction/discussion I'll be rewatching a ton in the future.
