2023-07-20 14:15:37 +0000 UTCYou were so close about Leorio's VA, he is from Shingeki but not Jean. He's the original VA of Hannes that played the role in the first season. He got cancer and was replaced in season 2. Unfortunately, he died in 2020 after long battling with the disease.

2023-07-20 09:22:09 +0000 UTCWhat I also love about the first episode: It shows that combat is a thing (Leorio and Kurapika were ready to fight) but often its about other kind of encounters and solutions like a storm and non-violent teamwork. Don't get me wrong they are a lot of fights in HxH, its an adventure Shonen after all, but its not only combat, often the obstacles in front of our heroes are not necessarily solved by combat and I love this. (Honestly its like a good DnD campaign)

When I started this show I had no idea it was going to leave such an immense impact and a big hole on my heart. 148 anime episodes may seem long now but they were not enough once they are over. Don't be in a hurry to finish, take your time because it's a slow burn, like they say "it's not the destination, is the journey" what matters. What makes this anime a masterpiece? Great and consistent colorful animation throughout, wide set of different and intriguing characters, outstanding sometimes otherworldy soundtracks, lots of famous voice actors and performances, and just the pure feeling of setting on an adventure (similar to One Piece) and MANY other things but I'll leave it at that... A series full of incredible highs (and some lows of course it's not perfect by any means) but I feel like you're going to experience some things that no other medium has to offer, I truly do. Now I will shut up, I hope you enjoy this series as much as many of us did, yes there is a lot of hype and a huge fanbase behind this anime, is truly is one of a kind, at least I believe so. There's a lot of work and passion behind this story...
