They are an interesting bunch even though they massacred and stole the Kurta's eyeballs; being directly responsible for the pain and suffering of Kurapika. Shonen anime are distinguished by their villains mostly, doesn't matter if it's Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, Dragon Ball, JJK, etc..antagonist are often a big part of the series. So I don't see any need to justify anything if you ever end up liking/adoring or maybe even in love with one of them? lol. Also I don't have a problem with you going back and rewatching cetain episodes/dialogues/scenes screenshots to extract as much information as possible, especially if it's plot relevant or it helps you further your owm theories and thoughts. I think is all part of the fun and since you're watching several anime at the same time I think it's only fair to refresh your memories from time to time. I greatly appreciate that you try to stay as spoilerless as possible, because of that there's going to be a lots of surprises and mysteries. Since you don't watch Opening/Endings you're not going to know anything about future characters, arcs, fights or different locations. Also if you're enjoying Hunter Exam Arc THIS much, you're going to LOVE the entire rest of the show. Hell I might even say might be your favorite anime after OP. It's just that fucking great, trust me 😄

Or you can also think of Deathnote in how Kira is actually pronounced, since its a play on the word, "Killer" in english. Its the same concept, idea. Think of it as "Kirua". That R or the Ls in his name is more of a D.

The word for the number 4 is "shi" (pronounced like "shee"), which shares the same pronunciation with the word for death, "shi" (死). This phonetic resemblance has led to the number 4 being considered unlucky in various aspects of Japanese culture. This phenomenon is known as tetraphobia, which is the fear or avoidance of the number 4. Because of this superstition, you'll often find that certain things are avoided or altered to avoid the number 4. That being said it's interesting the fact that Hisoka is deliberately associated with the number 4 make you think about how dangerous he is, how death is arround his presence, and having him around could be tricky. 2023-08-17 13:35:47 +0000 UTCI’ve been smiling like an idiot listening to you be excited for the Phantom Troupe. Because yes, you absolutely should be. Of all the plot elements and characters in this show I knew I could rely on you to be fascinated by them already and all the potential of them. I think I’ve mentioned before that I’m a big antagonists fan and gravitate towards them. And I can say this with full confidence that HxH has one of the best cast of antagonists you could ever come across. (Haikyuu is a strong competitor for the slot too though for me) Most of my favourites in the cast consist of them. Actually in my top 10 favourite antagonists in fiction list, 3 of them are from HxH. You are in for such a amazing time with this series and it’s always wonderful to really feel your enthusiasm, particularly in the beginning stages of a story.

2023-08-17 10:23:51 +0000 UTCSome fun sneaky writing depth by Togashi that's fulfilled in this episode: The reason Kurapika was probably able to identify the Kiriko woman's tattoos earlier was due to the passive knowledge or expertise in the subject he acquired while specifically trying to uncover and learn about the Phantom Troupe tattoos or people with relevant affiliations Really looking forward to seeing how your appreciation for and relationship with this author's penwork grows
