2023-08-27 04:26:54 +0000 UTCI think these early trick tower episodes are actually pretty good but the pacing in 2 of the episodes could have been a bit snappier. That being said, I think a lot of the char moments are great and give good insight into how the characters act and respond to situations. I also agree with another commenter that these episodes are better on a rewatch because all of these little interactions do matter and come to a head in future episodes.

2023-08-21 17:51:59 +0000 UTCI feel like this exam phase has a lot of fragmented good moments but overall not the most interesting episode-by-episode. I think it's more enjoyable as a rewatcher, in my first watch I did find them somewhat boring, in retrospect it's one of my favorite arcs, it has plenty of very well hidden and mind-blowing forshadowing that you couldn't get through unless you already watch the entire show. The Hunter Exam Arc is somewhat slept on the community because lots of fans literaly prefer everything else (I also agree) but the mystery, the unknown world, the ambiguious characters and potential makes everything so intriguing and special. I really like this episode because of that Hisoka fight, it shows us a glimpse of the things he can do if he easily decimates one of the examiners. I thought he was capable of catching the blades then instantly learn how to use them because that the sort of thing a clown would know how to do? It's very funny. Finally yeah, Hisoka is a very seductive and desirable man. Doesn't matter of you're male or female, he can rizz you up.

2023-08-20 21:26:25 +0000 UTC9 times out of 10 if Hisoka features in an episode he’ll steal it with ease. He’s just that good! Also can’t remember if you’ve mentioned already but don’t forget you got a recap episode at ep13. One that does not require a reaction.
