Oops, how did I miss this? Mistranslation. When Anna/Nina is talking about Tenma in that warehouse she said "I thought I mustn't let this man hold a gun, use a gun". She did not say that Tenma somehow forbode her from handling a gun. The meaning is completely reversed. She's talking about how she felt she mustn't let Tenma do the dirty work, his hands are for healing. Not how he denied her the gun.

2023-09-13 13:51:53 +0000 UTCI too want to see what Nina was up to all those months, although as mentioned she does seem to have what it takes to shoot someone - I guess she already has done it, though i don't think it fully counts?- and again as is said, she really is johan's sister. I also don't know if I believe the two personalities, maybe is just me simply not trusting anything Johan "says". from what we've seen so far and the fact the story is so praised I'm trusting that if that's really how it goes it will be done in an interesting and nuanced way but yeah the rug fufilled its destiny, good to see
