2024-08-03 06:45:05 +0000 UTCThe over-explanation for Gon allowing himself to be hit by Kite has always kind of bothered me as a weird writing moment in an otherwise fantastic sequence, but I feel it's something that comes off very differently in the context of Manga pacing. Plus I suppose Togashi REALLY wanted to emphasize just how far out of his way Gon was going to punish himself since evading enemy attacks had become so second nature/subconscious by this point.
