That episode has been recorded at this point. I don’t usually do this type of thing for anything I watch, cutting off something that was put into an episode. Though obviously Anime intros and endings are whole different thing with their spoilers. Even the whole Kite thing, I actually don’t like doing that type of thing, watching another version to give more context to a version I’m watching. I believe that any show/version of a show has to stand on its own when being analyzed and reviewed. There was just no way for me to know why exactly HXH 99 Ep 1 was being recommended before I get to a certain point in the 2011 version.

Up until now he’s watched everything, let’s keep it that way and not change stuff up this late in the game all for a line which, let’s be real, isn’t some sort of show ruining spoiler or something.

2024-08-18 23:47:04 +0000 UTCyes, but the thing is that some production decisions are made solely by the anime creators. for example, narrator speeches with summaries (I'm talking specifically about the beginning and end of the episodes) have never existed in the manga. this is a simplification for TV. so we cannot talk about the distortion of his vision in this case

2024-08-18 20:48:36 +0000 UTCI personally want IM to experience ALL of HunterxHunter. If we keep telling him to skip all the “bad” parts we are doing a disservice to the author and to the analyst. I say let him experience the show the author envisioned. HxH is one of my favorite animes, but any fan would know it’s not without its flaws. I know the feeling of not wanting Im to say anything bad about the show, but I think we owe it to Togashi to not alter or distort his vision when showing his creation for the first time to another person.

I was thinking about it and the best advice would be to STOP reading the subtitles for ep 102 as soon as the ending theme kicks. In that way it doesn't interrupt the flow of the video and avoids narrator-kun at the same time.

Maybe even like unedited for patreons only so u don’t have to edit them and take up even more time? I would love to see your reactions to openings and endings, I’ve always wanted to see you react to the rumbling opening from AOT

The motif of the ending may be used effectively in the actual show, much in the same way that the melody of Greed Island's ED heightened the impact of Gon and Killua's theme .
