One of the greatest episodes in HxH. Netero's backstory is such a masterpiece for me, I really enjoyed it.

Dragon dive, Coolest entrance ever, Netero's backstory and just the invasion starting in general, makes it so peakkk. Visually this episode is stunning too. Unfortunately we don't know who worked on this episode as the storyboard artist or director...

2024-10-01 14:06:45 +0000 UTCTo me it's not just about the narrator being needed or not, it's about the vibe, it's what makes this show or specifically this arc feel different and authentic compared to other shows, personally I quite like it. And yeah this episode is just monumental, very memorable and I remember rewatching it many times, but the amazing thing is it's not even in my top 5 of the show... So much good stuff to come, so excited.

I need to go rewatch and look at that. I love looking back at the conversation of "expecting the unexpected" in the past 2 episodes. It feels like a lot of the emphasis towards the audience is on Komugi being unknown to the squad, but what can slip the viewer's mind is that there's the unknown of Netero's plan. One thing the squad assumes is that Pitou's En will be active and they can find her via it, but they couldn't expect their own ally causing the En turning off haha. I'd say the narrator is definitely very polarizing in the fandom, you're not alone, it's always a big discussion point. I have my issues with the narrator, though I do like it in some scenes, but I guess at the end of the day the animation studio was trying to target wide + young audience.

There’s a lot more peaks for Im to experience this is merely one of them 🙂 no need to write off other anime because this one is great I am sure even Togashi wouldn’t appreciate that
