There's something about a Film Buff reaction that just enhances the experience so much. Amazing work!

The confusion of trying to process a moment that is profound to your core being. Despite being the most individual - Pitou is still bound as an ant, and yet with this understanding still utterly unable to fathom that his servitude would ever bring forth a role where the self, Neferpitou, is the ONLY one capable in the King's time of need ... thus leading to the king finding himself beholden to Pitou. Is it the gratitude? The fulfillment subsequent to the gratitude? I'm not sure, but the way I interpret it is that was a lot like aspiring to be a mountain climber his whole life and then seeing the view from the summit of the highest peak. "This is it". Even more IT, because Pitou was never particularly looking for it.

Yeah, it usually comes up in conversations about plot holes, and people having a hard time finding any in HxH. Im addressed most of it. And to add to it, Killua is probably used to seeing/hearing about different abilities from his family. Just think of "Rythm Echo" or the sharp nails he can do.

I agree with your assessment on Killua recognizing Dragon Dive 100%. For some reason it really became a sticking point with people and topic of discussion/controversy over the years but I never quite understood why? Like you said, yes he did not know nen before the events of the show but it’s not as if he couldn’t have heard stories about this awe inspiring move belonging to his grandfather while growing up, in fact it’s quite likely even…

What's astounding about these episodes is how much character work is being done with every single character. No one is left out and it all connects brilliantly. It's also insanely efficient with the time.

That scene where pitou jumps down off the window and then looks up with tears streaming down her face, but almost like she also doesnt understand why herself. It's so powerful

I love the narator. I aslso like how in these eppisodes where he talks a lot. It gives the moments where he does not talk even more gravity. I also loved shoots voice actor this eppisode. The way he said gon gives me chills. So many great moments in this eppisode. And yeah when its this good the epissode feels so short :D

Narrator is my fav character of HxH next to Tonpa. I'm memeing a little but I love the narrator and what it gives the audience. It makes this anime and especially this arc really special. Every time a anime has a narrator I'm constantly thinking back to the hxh narrator. And yes, I'm glad you picked up on the shock from the two legends when Meruem walked between them similar thing with why Pitou cried. So many reactors are baffled during this arc cause they don't get some of the nuance. And I feel like if the narrator wouldn't be there even more people would ask questions lol

Ahhh all of your discussion is truly music to my ears! This arc is so perfect for in-depth analysis! Personally I like the narrator because it adds a sense of scope and allows to "slow time" as they did in the last two eps. As you said pitou is the most empathetic towards the king and I feel she's the one who accepts him the most, so I found their scene where she cried quite beautiful. We're in it now! I can't wait! Thank you so much for your reactions it's really the best about hxh I've ever seen/listened to. You're killing it! Thank you

The lines “it would be inhumane” though not incorrect, the more literal translation would be “they would cease to be even human” 「人ですらなくなる」, with more emphasis on the loss of humanity if they were to proceed with their further acts. It’s an ironic line because I have seen reactors complain about Netero and Zeno’s/the narrative’s choice to not attack Meruem while he's caring for Komugi. I love how this arc functions as somewhat of a mirror, in the way that it reflects the humanity of not only the characters but also the people watching the show. Can't wait to see more of your reactions!

Oh yeh, my own cutout would always have to be centered in a two shot thumbnail such as this 👌🏼 otherwise it would be all off.
I did this once before during the YorkNew City Arc, with Gon/Killua fisheye shots.

It’s a little detail, but it’s nice that you bothered to change your location in the thumbnail from the left to the middle especially because I think your last discussion you talked about thumbnails and how you also had to take into consideration what the framing of them with you included would look like after editing. I’m also 99 percent sure this is the only time you’ve changed up the format, at least for HXH in that regard.
