Full disclosure, I did decide to remove an individual from my Patreon. They were refunded multiple months worth of pledges of course. Feeling a certain way about something and criticizing is one thing, but to go that overboard and throw out those types of insults and accusations is an entirely different thing, Especially when I’m so open to providing refunds. There is no way I could possibly continue accepting this person’s pledges.

I don’t think it would be a good approach to drop that many at the same time. This is why I specified that it’s a write off for November, and offered refunds (which is still available upon request)

2024-12-08 17:55:42 +0000 UTCMaybe pretty out there for the vibe of your channel, but they are on your react list, I'd put forward Kaguya Love is War and Mushoku. the latter might be controversial and this thread probably isn't the place to wade into that, but you've mentioned wanting to give one of those isekais a shot in a few of your discussions now, and well it's kinda considered the grandfather of the now oft ridiculed genre. I can definitely promise it would give you a ton to discuss. the former is fantastic from a variety of different dimensions, and I don't want to say too much, but personally imagining the abrupt change of pace of Im dissecting a romcom makes me chuckle lol.

Let me take a big gamble and let me say you're underestimating Code Geass by a lot how much you would actually enjoy Code Geass. Im not really sure were the desinterest for it comes from. Do you mind to share that? Gonna say its next to Legend of the Galactic Heroes the only good political anime out there imho

For now, I think a newer Anime is the way to go. there’s a lot of good stuff from the last two years, and it would be great for the channel as well, with more eyes on it than usual with a more recent title.

This does not mean he shouldn't watch it but I hope he realizes the incredible uniqueness of Studio Shaft once he gets to Monogatari and maybe then he will be interested in checking their other anime out

I’ve let a lot of things slide over the years, I’m not above criticism, but there’s a limit, that individual went way over the line. When all they had to do was take the refunds I keep offering. They continued being a patron and I was just not open to accepting their pledges anymore. Not quite sure yet for the HXH replacement approach. What I do know is that it won’t be a super long Anime, Monster will continue being the long Anime.
