2025-01-21 03:01:26 +0000 UTCI love this episode. Though, both surprisingly and unsurprisingly, this episode is the lowest-rated episode of all of Hunter x Hunter on IMDb. I obviously get why, but the writing is just stellar, so I have no issues.

Once you understand what Togashi is doing with the scene and the unique approach, I think most people find to appreciate it much more. I think it's quite a beautiful and profound episode and I'm glad to see you appreciate it just as much!

2025-01-19 17:53:36 +0000 UTCListening to you appreciating artistic aspect of this episode I really wish you'd check out someday studio SHAFT works, like Monogatari, Madoka and even March Comes in Like a Lion. You'd gush at visuals every episode even when they're technically saving the budget they're doing it so creatively (kinda like in NGE but in their unique way). Also Kunihiko Ikuhara works (Utena a.k.a. shoujo Evangelion) and Masaaki Yuasa (Devilman, Tatami Galaxy, Ping Pong). Satoshi Kon movies of course. I can't guarantee you AoT (or even HxH) level views from those but I just think you should see those one day. Even if it won't be in reactions format.
