Added 2025-02-19 20:30:16 +0000 UTCHello everyone, This is pretty close to the five options for the upcoming poll. As specified before, this is specifically for something shorter and recent. There will be other polls in the future for older, more niche stuff i'm interested in.

Steins;Gate
Steins;Gate is the one older Anime I went with, since it checks off so many boxes. My own interest in it, with my affinity for Time Travel narratives, and also because I know there is a decent amount of interest from patrons as well.
I left Pluto out for now because there is already an Urasawa Anime running on the channel.
If either Frieren or Steins;Gate win, I will eventually make those releases twice a week, given the length.

2025-02-20 05:21:10 +0000 UTCI'm surprised that Orb is the underrated choice here. I've watched all of them, Orb is still the first choice in my heart (I've read the manga and the adaptations). Maybe it's because of the subject matter, unpopular character choices, or the dialogue-based style that it will never become popular, but these also make a good work rare. The content will definitely be something you like. I really want to see it promoted to more people through people like you who know how to appreciate it...

But going any further would be spoilers so whatever. I mean yeah, it may be like a 6/10 anime for me, but rank #1 by score on MAL? Comon bro.

There are some people i wouldn't recommend Monogatari or Oregairu to, while i like both those shows SteinsGate would be better for discussions overall from what i've gathered tho

Didn’t expect it to be on your radar. Don’t expect it’d win a poll though. Legend of the Galactic heroes would be fantastic as well. That said hoping Frieren or Steins wins this poll.

That being said, out of all those options Dandadan would probably be my last choice, competition is just that strong. I haven't see Orb yet though but I already anticipate it's gonna be one of my favourites once I get to it.

Tbh I thought Shaft is dead already but new Monogatari had amazing production, I think some of the old staff returned and new guys also picked up the mantle. Sometimes it seemed like they imitated good ol' Monogatari style but it was a good imitation. New Madoka seems intriguing as well.

Though as for the recent stuff, I would actually recommend "Dungeon Meshi". Recent, quite popular and fantasy. 24 episodes, made with soul both in studio and by author. Also insteresting how few people bringing up Madoka in the comments. The thing is, it's actually written by the same dude as Fate/Zero... not for anything :)

I watched a couple of episodes yesterday and had to stop to gather my thoughts and keep myself together. The emotions, the themes, the ost, the lines… It will lose the poll for sure but I’m not too worried, I know you will react to it someday. As you've probably seen I'm not the only one who would be excited to see it on this channel. There's definitely demand, it's not new but it has quite a loyal and engaging fanbase that's always on the look out for new reactions.

2025-02-19 21:02:15 +0000 UTC'March Comes in like a Lion' is amazing, one of my favourite series for sure. All three Shaft Big 3 series (also Madoka and Monogatari) are in my Top. But it's 44 eps long already and not finished. I really hope Shaft will announce S3, they seem like they finally re-birthed, made new Monogatari season after 6 years and now new Madoka movie. Sangatsu deserves continuation as well.

Episode 135 or 136 of HxH where Diego is sitting in the back porch chilling in the chair. Frieren is full of "that" type of discussion which I really like from Im. He does it a bit there in that discussion but a full anime of it would be nice.

Like others said, March comes in like a Lion and Madoka Magical would be really good choices. If you want something newer, I highly recommend sonny boy from 2021, very beautiful and thought provoking anime.

Dandadan is popular too and I heard a lot of good things about Orb, sounds like it's exactly up your alley. Heavenly Delusion looks like an outsider in this poll but we'll see. I'd wait for more anime content before reacting to it anyway. Personally I'd like to add Madoka Magica on the poll, one of the best short complete anime series of all time. It won't win the poll but it would put it on the map for future.
