Ep 174 preview

This episode has the first big reveal in this season. There will be a lot of ‘reveals’ lol.

Also I was a bit frustrated with how long it was taking and I realized it was because there are ten characters in a room talking to each other so it’s just a lot more to draw.

I used to split up episodes based on panels and tried to get a certain number of panels drawn a day but I’ve realized that some panels take way longer than others because there are more characters. So now I split up the work based on how many characters there are to draw on a file.

Unfortunately episodes like this always just take way longer so it’s tricky when I’m still working on a ‘one episode a week schedule’ when an episode takes twice the amount of work. And I also get the same pay per episode.

I think others in my field would suggest I simply write out all the crowd scenes or think of other work arounds but I always hesitate to make major story changes just to ease the workload. (In fact I usually do the opposite lol)

So for now my solution is to just keep building the buffer.

Also! Next week I will be working on Valentine’s Day art so that might be in place of an episode preview 👍
