Yikes here we go. Some info on the story:

The Story of The Story:

So I recently found this short story on my old hard drive, it's the first short story I ever wrote. Something like six years ago. I've always loved this little story, it's about a father and son that get separated, and find their way back to each other, but it isn't easy. It's always been meaningful to me, but it was also VERY difficult for me to revise this month. I did my best to maintain the story as it first was while cleaning up the writing to make it a little less... well bad. But I also wanted to maintain my old writing style - which was hard because I'm a really different writer now. Anyway, I thought it'd be symbolic to start sharing my work with the start of my work. Okay, story is attached (sorry it's a Novelette now, it needed an extra scene)

A Note:

Just a reminder that I am still pretty new at writing. I took a three year break and am only just now back at it. I'm in no way a talented writer (yet, hopefully) but I am excited to practice and get better. Feedback is welcome but not required. I hope you enjoy reading stories where I practice. They'll likely never be published lol
