Alright, everyone, let’s take it easy. Here’s the deal. I’ve unintentionally created several sketches for a Witch Bunny comic. I’ve done so many drafts and pages, and they turned out surprisingly well. Now, I’m seriously considering taking it a step further and giving you a clearer view of the story, starting with how Ruan and Lorena’s relationship begins.
Why am I saying let’s take it slow? Because this is a recent idea, and believe it or not, I’ve just started working on it. I see a lot of potential in this comic, but since it’s still in its early stages and I’m already focused on the animation, I wanted to release a few pages first to see if it sparks your curiosity and if it’s something you’d really want to see more of. It’s important for me to understand whether this is the direction you’d enjoy before fully diving into it.
While I’m investing more into the animation, I’m determined to make this comic as visually stunning as possible.
Oh, and by the way, what do you think of the manga style? Or would you prefer it to be colored like the animation? I’m kind of liking the manga style, but we’ll see what works best with what I can do right now.

I feel like as some others have said, switching to colored panels when there is a pivotal/special moment in a scene and then going back to regular manga panels after that would be super cool and elevates the panels because it would serve as a fun detail

The world and its concepts, specifically the idea of having powers tied to personal energy/emotions has been something that’s been something that lends itself to a bunch of creative choices. Lorena and Ruan also seem like interesting characters. I like piecing together their personalities and coming up with stories and characters for them to work with. It’s fun to see how their relationships with others can grow and change. I’ll end with I love how I can tell how your characters feel/think through your art. It’s like I can hear their voices even though they haven’t been voiced yet. It’s great “show don’t tell”. Keep up the amazing work 👍

There are no rules haha so you might even do a few pages that are coloured before switching back to manga. Could be fun and definitely the comic would be a lovely addition to what you are already doing 🫂🫂❤️

I prefer the colors as long as it’s somewhat simplified so you can continue on main projects without too much to worry

2025-02-01 19:20:19 +0000 UTCProbably start off small with the comics so you can invest more in the animations. You could like write out a timeline/ plan a schedule for releasing smol comics in-between the animations. A friend of mine, who draws solely comics, started out drawing smol/simple (no or little BG) 2 to 4-panel funny comics a week. He slowly built up after a few years to also releasing 6-panel comics, in addition, every two weeks and recently he started doing a chapter every 1-2 months for his main series. He also does a little bit of animation now but he focuses a lot on his comics mainly. It’s really about how much story/art details you want to put into the comics and the speed with which you can make them, while also minding your schedule and projects. It’s a lot to think about 😅 but I think you can do it. My friend’s advice to me was: “Usually smol, funny, and simple comic skits can help flesh out the characters & world at the beginning until you find yourself ready to do the larger, more detailed comic/manga chapters.” Slow and steady wins the race; but creativity and passion is what draws people in.
