The approach to storytelling in this opening episode is spot on, each of the characters we meet are so immediately likeable and interesting. I was sold on them, and their dynamic and relationship to each other within only a few minutes. And there's so much subtlety in the character designs, and the way they move and emote, which does so much to bring us right in with them. On top of that, Evan Call's score is, as ever, absolutely beautiful, one of my favourite OSTs from the last few years for sure

2025-12-05 18:19:25 +0000 UTCLet's gooo excited to be back on the channel! shaping up to be a great next few month stretch with this, EVA/Vinland, and I'm excited to watch Steins;gate for the first time when the last reaction gets posted here! Agree with this episode being truly special, it can definitely stand on it's own without the rest of the 4 in its release set. This show his such a simple but almost meta-real Aesop-esq quality that I've not really seen before in anime. Like Tolkien not just in setting but in its earnest sincerity as well. You're in for a treat!
