Protected by a deep moat, the local lord resides in their dungeon behind thick walls. The soldiers' barracks are not far if the alarm sounds and sentinels will quickly retract the drawbridge. The chapel, kitchen, stables and barnyard serve for every day commodities. The well in the upper court may allow the keep to stand a long siege. A granary was built under the dungeon to protect the ample supplies of grain and food. Finally, a small prison located inside the turret may hold problematic servants and troublesome villagers.
