Great kingdoms come at a great cost. Lands were burnt, villages were butchered and armies were wiped out. Men and horses alike, killed by the thousands, forgotten in the deepest bowels of the now prosperous land. Yet things forgotten often find their way back to us. In many points of the earth the uneven ground lay bare the remains of a dark past. The Bog of Lost Bones still bears the stygmas of an ancient and terrible battle. The spirits of the slaughtered warriors, lost forever in the belly of the mire, come back at night to wander, warn the fearful and bring the nosy to its watery grave.
