Narrative

The master always enjoyed a calm evening in his solitary domain. While the dread of the night crept at the windows, while the dogs barked uneasy and the horses neyed in terror, he would take pleasure in the intellectual tastes of his study. He sat content at his lavish desk and savour the prose of his ancestors. Arcane tomes blend in the extensive library with alchemical apparati, maps and essays on foreboding religions. Chalks pulsate with magical components in drawers otherwise filled with unsavory compounds.

This night is particular though. Names of forgotten gods and demons were ushered back from the void of ignorance. His disciples are parading downstairs in the luxury of his decadent home. He grins as he thinks about what unparalleled horrors he could conjure right now, between the glass of brandy and the skull of his grand-mother. And who knows ? Maybe he will conjure them...
