2025-08-08 04:09:28 +0000 UTCFor the record, I don't like reactors watching the History and Lore videos, because it is not how people experienced the show back when it aired and mainly GOT is supposed to be a bit of a riddle, all the information is there and provided in bits and pieces and not force fed to people like the History and Lore videos. That said, it is probably not so clear, who has more experience in war, Jorah or Baristan. While Baristan came up as a knight, he basically became a bodyguard. While Selmy is one of the greatest fighters he might not have a lot of knowledge about tactics and strategy, Jorah, on the other hand, was brought up and actually became a Lord over a region in the North, and he ought as a commander in the rebellion against the Targaryans.
